I have recently added 31 awareness ribbon clip art sets to my website.  I am having a wonderful time creating my own clip art, I always knew I loved drawing however learning drawing on the computer has been a very new revelation to me.  Everything that I have created has started with a inspiration from my own life.  These sets are no different.  I started with the Epilepsy Awareness Clip Art and moved on from there.

The reason I started there is because my husband battles epilepsy every day having as many as 4 to 6 seizures a day sometimes. After years of being on the medications for epilepsy and probably a result of the medication he also has developed diabetes so I could not leave that out either. 

 

I work here on the internet as a means to be home with my husband for on those days when he is just having a bad day it is very dangerous for him to be alone.  Epilepsy is still one of the most misunderstood conditions there is and yes, there are still people out there that believe a person with epilepsy is crazy.  

Unfortunately the combination of epilepsy and diabetes in my husbands case is a horrible circle.  If his sugar is to high he gets more seizures,  whereas if it gets to low (and to low for him is 150) then he goes into manic states.  There is a fine line he has to walk and staying within it is very difficult.  Putting my dear husband on a never ending roller coaster and sometimes he says it feels like someone has put a blender in his head.  

Everyday I live my life I remind myself how special he is and how much I love him because I wonder when life as I know it will change, and sometimes I pray it is not today.  Over the last 2 years I have seen things that scare me so bad that I have begun to think about where I would be if he was to leave me.  Although I know epilepsy is not a condition that will cause death in the form of most diseases the danger is in being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  

I also have to say I have seen my husbands deterioration, over the past 2 years especially.  I wonder what I do have to fear that the doctors don't know.   Just yesterday I had him in the hospital because he kept saying a seizure was coming but it would not happen, he had been complaining of feeling funny since Christmas day.  Even after 7 years together I did not understand what was going on, he just kept saying Liz you don't understand, it won't stop, and at this point we have to determine if it is the epilepsy or the diabetes causing the issue since they both cause seizures   He went out the door in a ambulance at 6 am in nothing but his bathrobe right after a major snow storm.  I met him at the hospital as soon as I could get there and he was doing fine, but has been in a very high energetic stage since he took my boys out shoveling driveways today and out worked both of them.  They are 20 and 21 years old, they both come home saying they was wore out and Steve was saying lets go back out.  It is great to see him happy after all he went through yesterday but this is to the other extreme of the man he really is not.  So now I am starting to wonder if we have some sort of bi polar coming our way.  He will start seeing the doctor for that this coming week.  

As of today my husband has tried every epilepsy medication there is and even a couple of experimental ones to have no effect on helping him with the epilepsy therefore he is un-medicated right now.  I am now looking for natural diets or medications that may help him.  If you have any tips and tricks comment below and when you purchase either one of these Awareness Ribbon Clip Art sets the money goes to help a family first hand that fights these horrible conditions on a daily basis.

Over the years I have owned a few dogs. Some still with me others that have went on to join dog heaven. When I started my collection of dog clip art I honored each of my dogs.
All three of my dogs have their own stories and have been a pleasure to live with. They are part of my family I love them the same way I love my children.

Stick The Dog Clip Art

I will never forget Stick. Stick came across his name honestly. When he come to join my family with my ex husband and I we had found him along side the road. We just happen to be driving by what we thought was a dead dog along side the road when he just happen to lift his head up and look at us driving by. We stopped and found a very weak dog very skinny that was loaded full of mange, he had little hair left and was just sickly looking. We happen to have some water in the car so we put in something and tried to give it to him. However that one time he lifted his head to look at us driving by must have been the last bit of energy he had. So we gently forced a little water down him and loaded him into the car. Let me tell you, Stick stunk real bad. When we got him home we made him a appointment for the vet, who seen him that day. He first suggested we put him down saying he was going to be very expensive to save. We denied it and told him to fix the dog we wanted to see him back to health before finding him a home. The next day after a bath, some medication, some sleep, and lots of water and food, he was back up and moving. My husband would take him outside and walk him around the block and when he would come home I was say I am so embarrassed people are going to see you with that stick and think we are not feeding our dog. So he became Stick.  We fell in love with Stick and ended up keeping him for many years.  Today Stick is no longer with us in the physical form, however he is forever in my heart. This clip art collection is for you my beloved Stick.

Ziggy The Basset Hound

Ziggy what can I say about him. He has those big floppy ears and so full of salt and vinegar all the time. He is very smart and loves to do tricks (probably loves the treats more). As of today Ziggy is about 6 years old he is healthy and very loved. This one is for you Ziggy.  

Dalton The Dog Clipart

Dalton is old but so cute. He sets up on his hind legs with a tennis ball in his mouth, it is so cute. Dalton loves people as long as they do not take his ball away, If he has a ball in his mouth and you call him he will come but you are going to pet his butt because he will not face you if you have ever tried to take his ball. So don't take his ball or you will be forever on his ball thief list. I know the feeling I am there. So of course I had to include his favorite ball in this set.

I am known in her local area to be a picker. However, I am not known as well here on the internet for what I do. Elizabeth owns 2 internet based businesses the first one being Printable Bottle Cap Images this is where she begun her adventure here on the worldwide web.

Printable Bottle Cap Images begun by purchasing much of her clip art from commercial use sites. I have a lot of knowledge in art & crafts of many kinds however I did not know much about using the computer based programs it took to create my drawings. However this is where the picker in me kicks in I played with these programs til I found enough techniques to get me started with Printable Clip Art Shop. In the mean while I started Printable Bottle Cap Images that took much less knowledge in getting started always knowing I would soon be using my own clip art in these images.

Therefore in the very near future you will start to see much more unique images on Printable Bottle Cap Images and Printable Clip Art Shop all created by Elizabeth Pastore.

I have chosen to start these two businesses as part of her picker adventures. My husband has a very severe case of epilepsy which does not allow me to go out to a real job everyday do to the fact that he needs someone with him most of the time, for his own safety. However this is good for me because I don't like to be under another persons thumb I enjoy being my own person in charge of my own decisions, so I choose to make my money in ways that allow me to be home with my family and it works for us.

What I love the most about these two sites is that I don't need the storage to create what I create here on the internet. My living space is comfy but small, and I do not have a spare room at the moment for inventory. In this business I have a computer a desk, and external hard drive and some internet storage. Meaning both of my kids can have their separate rooms because I don't need that space.

I love expressing myself in my art work. and venturing out and touching new people everyday. I hope by telling you a little about myself I have not gotten to personal however I think it is important to know the person you are working with. I look forward to offering top quality printable clip art as an addition to Printable Bottle Cap Images.

Free Dog Clipart Card by Elizabeth Pastore

I think I told you in my earlier post there here in my local area I am known as a picker.  I get out meet people and make my money by talking to people.  People have gotten to know me because I am open and I always have something to say.  I am per say a leader.  

However here on the internet I have not been so lucky to be able to be the same way.  I have started several sites and ended several sites because I just don't know how to reach out and touch you.  So I have decided to try something new I am going to use my clip art to make great ideas of items you can create.  Anything from cards, to scrapbooking backgrounds, to quick pages and more.  You will find these items here for free.  

I figure this is a great way to offer my customer something extra and also give you ideas as well.  

Using my dog clipart I created these cards for you to download.  There are two of them one that is blank so you can insert it into your print program and the other says just a note for those that would prefer to print and send.  

This card face measures 5 by 7 and is created of bright blues, and greens.  Dalton the dog poses with his ball, and is wearing a cute blue bow.

I am happy to announce that I have launched a new site.  For some time now I have owned and operated www.printablebottlecapimages.com with the knowledge that I will soon be creating my own clip art for the use of this site.

For many years I have had artistic knowledge however learning the very complicated programs it take to create these graphics on the web took time.  So I started Printable Botttle Cap Images by purchasing clip art from commercial sites.  In the mean while I played with these programs til I learned enough techniques to get me started, in my own clip art adventures.

I hope that you will join me in my adventures and grow with me.  Although my clip art site is called the Printable Clip Art Shop my images are not limited to just printables.  I know the value of being able to use clip art for commercial use and really appreciate those sites I have previously purchased from, however I have found the need to branch with my own unique style.  Therefore I will be offering my clip art for commercial and personal use this means you can do anything from web design, to paper crafts, to digitizing of my images.  I just ask for credit where credit is due.  Here is a sample of my newest work on my clip art site.   Please take the time to give me suggestions of what you might want to see or just comment on my most recent work.
